Compression systems, garments and stockings

Distinguish a complete compression system from a replacement garment or stockings and check the prescribed configuration.

Identify the type of compression product

A powered compression system, a replacement leg garment and compression stockings are different product types. Start with the product specified by your care team. They should determine the appropriate device, compression specifications and use instructions.

Do not infer that products in the same website category form a compatible system. The catalog includes complete-system listings as well as individual garment and stocking listings.

Match a garment to its intended system

For a replacement garment, record the pump model, garment reference, size and relevant connection details. A garment’s chamber count is part of its configuration; it does not by itself prove that it will connect to a particular pump.

For example, the listed CircuFlow eight-chamber medium leg garment is a garment listing. Confirm the intended controller and connection through the manufacturer information. Do not assume a pump is included because the garment is associated with a powered system.

Check the full package and fitting information

Ask what is included with a complete-system package: controller, garments, hoses, power components and any other listed accessories. For a single garment, confirm whether the quantity is one or a pair. Use the manufacturer’s measurement method and your care team’s fitting advice.

Stockings also require their own product name, length, size and prescribed compression specification. A familiar clothing size or a product photograph does not establish the correct fit.

  • Prescribed product type and exact model
  • Garment size, reference and compatible system
  • Included controller, garments, hoses and power components
  • Required fitting, setup and use instructions

Review the particular request with Medrax

Coverage, documentation and costs are reviewed for the specific item and plan. A benefit for one compression product does not establish coverage for every system or stocking. Confirm the exact configuration before an order proceeds.
